Limitations of Social Media Platform

When we think about the social media platform, we mainly thought about Facebook and Instagram and is a place where we can share information, make business, or create and exchange ideas through internet. The disadvantages of using too much social media is that our face to face interaction and emotion connection got lesser and people might commit scams. There are limitations of social media. What are they? Let me explain some of them.

Privacy Concerns

As we use social medias, we always see the advertisements. Those advertisements we see are created and designed by the creator who gather our most information to the advertisements which may be interesting to us too. Let’s just say, your  computer or laptop got hacked by a hacker, all those personal private information could be leaked and spread over the internet. This is one limitation of the social media platform.

Identity Theft

Identity theft is very popular through the social media. This happen when the person got the access to personal identifying information, they use those information for their personal cases. This is also a kind of scam. But with other people’s identity. We like to upload our pictures on social media. It is not very safe because they collect our information and use them for illegal action. Let’s say your picture was used to create an account and that person will be pretending to be you yourself. Then they will borrow money from my friends and others.

These are the two important factors to consider of when using social media platform. In some country, the underage kids are not allowed to use the social media until they are at the legal age to use social media. The world of social media can be fun, informative, and even dangerous. It’s not using social media is dangerous. It means there are some facts to consider before using it. Are you ready to enter the social media world? I’d like to see your opinions.

Big data is the thing that helps the business to analyze when the data becomes very much complicated and hard to obtain them from traditional data processing. Example of big data is identifying the money laundering and risk reduction in banking sector, learning materials, grading system in educational sector and so on. Big data can help the business and organization to analyze the internal weakness and threads to protect the important information. Viral Marketing and It’s Pros & Cons

Definition of viral marketing

Before explaining about the viral marketing, let me talk about the example of viral marketing first. On social medias such as, TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and many more have hashtag challenges. This is a good example of viral marketing. It makes the user to get involved in the challenges like “Ice Bucket Challenge” which is people took a shot video of pouring themselves with cold water to raise the awareness of disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and encourage donations to research. The viral marketing are usually caused by the social medias and it spreads all around the world very quickly when it is in trend.

Pros of viral marketing

Low cost – viral marketing depends on the customers to keep the marketing keep going. You do not need to advertise to the specific groups. Becoming viral needs to have expected reaction that the other people want to share to the other.

More creative – not everything you post online can go viral. To go trend, you need to have creativity skill and must focus on the main point of the brand. This will help you to find new ways to make your marketing viral. Even though if your marketing do not go viral, you still have the advantages which is increased activity of the customers.

Achieve more growth – if your marketing goes viral, you will get a huge amount of improvement and growth in a short time. When it is in the right path, you must maintain those growth level and can make a better reputation for the brand faster than other ways.

Cons of viral marketing

Less overall control – once the marketing goes viral, you cannot control how the other people get to interact with your marketing. if there are any issue in the marketing, your brand will not go in a positive way.

Can be a chance to be waste of time – if the viral marketing do not go as viral as expected, it will be a waste of time. Sometimes it is better to consider going traditionally than going viral marketing.

Not everyone will share the information – you must target the right audience in your targeted audience. Because there are many people who are interested but will not share the information. The chances of going viral will be low if they do not have will to share the information.

In conclusion, viral marketing can be good or bad in any ways. From my point of view, I feel like the viral marketing is when a person feels like your content is essential and useful for the other people to know by spreading physical or through internet. It has both pros and cons of viral marketing. What’s your opinion. Let me know in the comments below.
